§ 10-1. Area covered.

This chapter shall apply to those portions or parts of Ouachita Parish as described and outlined, to-wit:

East of the Ouachita River that portion of the parish adjoining the city limits of Monroe and extending for a direction of three (3) miles from the continuous line of the city limits of the City of Monroe and encompassing that part of the parish lying within the area governed by this three (3) mile continuous line surrounding the City of Monroe; and,

West of the Ouachita River that portion of the parish lying outside of the city limits of West Monroe but within the area described as follows:

Beginning at the point where Tony Bayou extended intersects the center line of the Ouachita River, and continuing westward along the center line of Tony Bayou to the point where Tony Bayou intersects Bancroft Drive (also known as Tony Bayou Road); thence northward along the center line of Bancroft Drive to the point of intersection with the West Monroe Ring Levee; thence in a westerly direction along the center line of said West Monroe Ring Levee to the point where it intersects the Bawcomville Ring Levee; thence along the center line of said Bawcomville Ring Levee in a southerly and westerly direction to the intersection of State Route No. 34; thence due west to the intersection of the east bank of Cheniere Lake; thence following the northerly and westerly meander line of the said Cheniere Lake to the west boundary line of Section 36; thence northwardly along the west section line of Sections 36, 25, 24, 13, and 12, to the northwest corner of Section 12; thence in an easterly direction along the north section line of Sections 12, 7, 8, 9, to the intersection of the west section line of Section 13; thence in a northeasterly direction along the west section line of Section 13 to the intersection of D'Arbonne Bayou to the intersection of D'Arbonne Bayou with the Ouachita River; and thence along the center line of Ouachita River meandering in a southerly direction to the point of beginning.
