§ 11-4. Vehicles, animals on Ouachita River levees.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to operate a motor vehicle or any horse drawn vehicles over and upon the flood control levee system of the Ouachita River within the Parish of Ouachita.

    (b)

    It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to herd, maintain or graze any cattle, horses, mules, sheep, goats, hogs or other animals upon the flood-control levee system of the Ouachita River within the Parish of Ouachita.

    (c)

    The running, roaming, and being at large of any cattle, horses, mules and donkeys, sheep, goats, hogs and any other domestic or farm animals upon the flood-control levee system of the Ouachita River within the Parish of Ouachita is hereby prohibited and any person, firm or corporation permitting such animals to so run, roam or be at large on said levee system by acts of negligence or otherwise, shall be deemed guilty of violating the provisions of this section.

    (d)

    Any person found guilty of violating the provisions of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) nor more than one hundred dollars ($100.00), or imprisoned for not less than ten (10) days nor more than thirty (30) days or both.
