§ 14-4. Parking on dams.

(a)

Prohibited. No person shall park or leave standing any vehicle, whether attended or unattended, upon the following listed dams situated in the parish, to wit:

(1)

Fish Hatchery Dam, which is located in Ward 1.

(2)

Parker Dam, which is located in Ward 1.

(3)

Magenta Dam, which is located in Ward 2.

(4)

Cheniere Dam, which is located in Wards 5 and 8.

(5)

Edgewater Dam, which is located in Ward 10.

(6)

Forsythe Dam, which is located in Ward 10.

(7)

Ouachita Parish right-of-way on the dam or levee at the intersection at the L-11 drainage canal and Bayou DeSiard.

(b)

Penalty. Any person violating the provisions of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in the sum of not less than fifteen dollars ($15.00) and not more than one hundred dollars ($100.00), or shall be imprisoned for not more than thirty (30) days, or both, at the discretion of the court.
