§ 15-3. Same—Depositing trash, refuse.
(a)
Prohibited. It is hereby declared a misdemeanor for any person or persons to deposit or place or cause to be placed or deposited on the court square or in any of the buildings located thereon any article of trash or refuse matter of any kind whatsoever.
(b)
Penalty. Any person or persons violating the provisions of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction therefor before a court of competent jurisdiction shall be fined not less than five dollars ($5.00) nor more than twenty dollars ($20.00) at the discretion of the court. In default of payment of fine and costs, violators shall be imprisoned in the parish jail not less than five (5) days.
(c)
Warning signs. The president of the police jury is hereby authorized and requested to have posted in the court square a necessary number of painted warning signs specifying the penalties as provided for violation of the provisions of this section.
