§ 19-11. Location of mail boxes on rural parish roads.

  • United States Post Office Department regulation mail boxes shall be located on Ouachita Parish roads and streets as follows:

    (1)

    Curb and gutter streets:

    (a)

    The front face of the mail box shall be one foot behind the back of the curb.

    (2)

    Blacktop or asphalt surfaced street or road with open ditches:

    (a)

    The front face of the mail box shall be two feet (2′) from the edge of the blacktop or asphalt surface.
