§ 1-21. Bank holidays.

  • When December 25, January 1 or July 4 falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday is a holiday for all banking institutions situated in the parish. The holiday of Friday preceding January 1 shall be an optional holiday for said banking institutions, and each bank may, each at its option, remain open and exercise all of its regular banking functions under conditions set forth in Paragraph (1) of Subsection A of Louisiana Revised Statutes 1:55, as amended.
