§ 1-110. Overtime.

(a)

Nonexempt employees covered by the overtime provisions of the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act as amended shall receive for all hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours per work week, overtime pay at the rate of one and one-half times their base rate of pay, or compensatory time at the rate of one and one-half hours for each hour worked in excess of forty (40) hours per work week.

(b)

Payment of overtime or the granting of compensatory time shall be at the discretion of the department head. Compensatory time shall be scheduled and taken by nonexempt employees within sixty (60) days from the date on which compensatory time accrued.

(c)

All work performed by an employee of less than forty (40) hours per work week shall be paid at the base rate of said employee.
