§ 1-162. Effect of positive results.
(a)
Applicants for employment. Any applicant for employment who tests positive for alcohol or other unauthorized substances under the above procedures shall not be employed by the parish and shall not be considered for employment for a period of twelve (12) months.
(b)
Employees. Any employee who tests positive for alcohol or other unauthorized substance under the above procedures shall be dismissed from parish employment and shall not be considered for future employment for a period of at least twelve (12) months and then only after satisfying the requirements of section 1-159(e).
Any employee who uses, possesses, conceals, transports, manufactures, distributes, dispenses, solicits or purchases any unauthorized alcohol or other unauthorized substance on parish premises or while on parish time shall be dismissed from his or her employment with the parish and shall not be considered for future employment for the parish for a period of twelve (12) months.
