§ 20-106. Created; named; boundaries.

  • There is hereby created a road lighting district, which shall be known as "Road Lighting District No. One of the Parish of Ouachita," lying within this parish and more particularly described as follows:

    That certain area of land lying east of the City of Monroe, Louisiana, and bounded as follows: Beginning at a point on the southeast bank of Bayou DeSiard where intersected by the east line of Section 68, Township 18 North, Range 4 East, thence along the north right-of-way of Highway 80, or DeSiard Road, to intersection of west right-of-way of Missouri Pacific Railroad, thence northeast along west boundary of Missouri Pacific Railroad to east boundary of Section 81, Township 18 North, Range 4 East, to the westerly right-of-way line of State Highway 139 running between Monroe and Bastrop, said right-of-way line being 50 feet from center line of the asphalt paved highway, thence in a Northeasterly direction along said right-of-way line a distance of 673.25 feet, more or less, to a one-inch iron pipe set on said westerly right-of-way line of said State Highway 139 at the northeast corner of the property belonging to St. Mark's Methodist Church, thence in a Westerly direction along the north line of said church property to the west bank of Bayou DeSiard, thence southwest along the South Government Meander Line of Bayou DeSiard to the point of beginning at east boundary of Section 68, Township 18 North, Range 4 East, and all being situated in Ouachita Parish, Louisiana.
