  • (a)

    The boundaries of Western Ouachita Water District No. 1 are hereby altered so as to exclude therefrom the tract of land containing seven and thirty-six one-hundredths (7.36) acres, more or less, owned by Louisiana Power & Light Company and situated in the extreme southeast corner of said waterworks district, described as follows:

    Lot Two (2) of the survey made by S. M. Collins on September 27, 1918, as per plat of said survey attached to deed dated October 2, 1918, from Longinus J. Bovenkalman to F. E. Tracy, on file and of record in Conveyance Book 88, page 524 of the records of Ouachita Parish, Louisiana, said lot no. 2 being in Section 40, Township 18 North, Range 3 East, and being more particularly described as follows:

    Beginning at the northwest corner of said Section 40 and running south 15 degrees 15 minutes east one and 43/100 (1.43) chains to an iron post on the north side of the Claiborne Road; thence south 80 degrees east four and 28/100 (4.28) chains to an iron post; thence south 82 degrees 18 minutes east thirteen and 7/10 (13.7) chains to an iron post; thence north 78 degrees 33 minutes east twenty-eight and 40/100 (28.40) chains to an iron post on the north side of the Claiborne Road; thence south 29 degrees east 56/100 (.56) chains for the starting point of the survey of Lot No. 2; from this last point run south 78 degrees 15 minutes west five and 10/100 (5.10) chains to an iron post, this being the northwest corner of said Lot No. 2; from this last named point run south 15 degrees 15 minutes east ten and 11/100 (10.11) chains to an iron post on the south boundary of Section 40, being the southwest corner of said Lot No. 2; thence north 64 degrees east along the said south boundary line of Section 40, six and 77/100 (6.77) chains to an iron post on the west boundary line of the right-of-way of the Louisiana Gravel Company's railroad, being the southeast corner of said Lot No. 2; thence in a northeasterly direction along the west boundary line of the said railroad right-of-way to an iron post on the south side of the Claiborne Road and on the west boundary of said railroad right-of-way, being the northeast corner of said Lot No. 2; thence south 67 degrees 40 minutes west four and 14/100 (4.14) chains to place of beginning, containing seven and 36/100 (7.36) acres, more or less;

    And being the same property acquired by Louisiana Power & Light Company from Mrs. Cecile Gussman Hamilton, et al, by deed executed in May and June, 1950, which is on file under Date Register No. 347943 and of record in Conveyance Book 460, page 685 of the records of Ouachita Parish, Louisiana.     (b)

    The physical boundaries of the Western Ouachita Water District No. One are hereby altered and amended so as to exclude and remove therefrom the area known as Units No. 7, 8 and 9, H. M. McGuire's Highland Park Subdivision, Ouachita Parish, Louisiana, which area is more particularly described as follows:

    A certain parcel of land situated in Sections 37 and 38, Township 18 North, Range 3 East, Ouachita Parish, Louisiana, comprised of H. M. McGuire's Highland Park Subdivision, Units 7, 8 and 9, and certain acreage adjacent thereto, being more particularly described as follows:

    Beginning at the intersection of the north line of Arkansas Road with the west line of North Seventh Street, as per plat of H. M. McGuire's Highland Park, Unit No. 5, Sections 36 and 37, Township 18 North, Range 3 East, Ouachita Parish, Louisiana, as per plat recorded in Plat Book 7, page 31 of the records of Ouachita Parish, Louisiana; thence measure in an easterly direction, along the north line of the Arkansas Road to the westerly right-of-way line of the West Monroe or Ouachita River levee; thence measure in a northerly direction, meandering along said westerly right-of-way line of said levee, to the end of the westerly physical toe line of said levee at the northeasterly corner of Lot 1, of Block 42, of H. M. McGuire's Highland Park, Unit No. 8, in Sections 37 and 38, Township 18 North Range 3 East as per plat in Plat Book 8, page 17, of the records of Ouachita Parish, Louisiana; thence measure in a westerly direction, along the north line of said lot 1 of Block 42, of H. M. McGuire's Highland Park, Unit No. 8, to the east right-of-way line of Arlington Place, thence measure in a northerly direction, along the said east right-of-way line of Arlington Place, to the north right-of-way line of Division Street as shown on said plat; thence measure in a westerly direction along the said north line of Division Street, and a westerly extension of said line, to the west right-of-way of White's Ferry Road; thence measure in a southerly direction, along the said west right-of-way line of White's Ferry Road to the intersection of said west right-of-way line with the north right-of-way line of Arkansas Road, the point of beginning.     (c)

    The physical boundaries of the Western Ouachita Water District No. One are hereby altered and amended so as to exclude and remove therefrom the area known as Units 4, 5 and 6, H. M. McGuire's Highland Park Subdivision, Ouachita Parish, Louisiana, which area is more particularly described as follows:

    A certain parcel of land situated in Sections 36 and 37, Township 18 North, Range 3 East, Ouachita Parish, Louisiana, comprised of H. M. McGuire's Highland Park Subdivision, Units 4, 5 and 6, and certain acreage adjacent thereto, being more particularly described as follows:

    Beginning at the intersection of the north line of Arkansas Road with the west line of White's Ferry Road, as per plat of H. M. McGuire's Highland Park, Unit No. 5, as recorded in Plat Book 7, page 31 of the records of Ouachita Parish, Louisiana; measure in a northerly direction along the west line of White's Ferry Road to the south line of Greenwood Street, in H. M. McGuire's Highland Park, Unit No. 6, as per plat in Plat Book 8, page 7, recorded in the records of Ouachita Parish, Louisiana; thence measure in a westerly direction, along the south line of Greenwood Street, and along a westerly extension of said south line of Greenwood Street, to its intersection with a northerly extension of the east line of Hasley Cemetery; thence measure in a southerly direction along said east line of Hasley Cemetery, as extended, to the north line of Arkansas Road; thence measure in an easterly direction along said north line of Arkansas Road to the intersection of said line with the west line of White's Ferry Road, the point of beginning.

    Also the northerly one-half (½) of the said Arkansas Road lying between a southerly extension of the east line of Hasley Cemetery and a southerly extension of the West line of White's Ferry Road and that portion of White's Ferry Road lying between an easterly extension of the south line of Arkansas Road and a westerly extension of Division Street, as said Division Street is shown on a plat of H.     (d)

    Section 1 of Ordinance Number 7026 [section 20-181 above] is hereby amended so as to alter the boundaries of the Western Ouachita Water District Number One to exclude therefrom the following territories, to-wit:

    NUMBER (1)

    A certain parcel of land situated in Sections 37 and 38, Township 18 North, Range 3 East, Ouachita Parish, Louisiana, comprised of H. M. McGuire's Highland Park Subdivision, Units 7, 8 and 9, and certain acreage adjacent thereto, being more particularly described as follows:

    Beginning at the intersection of the north line of Arkansas Road with the west line of North Seventh Street, as per plat of H. M. McGuire's Highland Park, Unit No. 5, Sections 36 and 37, Township 18 North, Range 3 East, Ouachita Parish, Louisiana, as per plat recorded in Plat Book 7, page 31 of the records of Ouachita Parish, Louisiana; thence measure in an easterly direction, along the north line of the Arkansas Road to the westerly right-of-way line of the West Monroe or Ouachita River levee; thence measure in a northerly direction, meandering along said westerly right-of-way line of said levee, to the end of the westerly physical toe line of said levee at the northeasterly corner of Lot 1, of Block 42 of H. M.     Units Nos. 1, 2 and 3, H. M. McGuire's Highland Park.

    Commencing at a point which is the intersection of the south line of the Arkansas Road with the east line of North Seventh (Victory) Street in the Traveler's Rest Subdivision; thence north 77° 16½′ west along the south line of the Arkansas Road, a distance of 1996.97 feet to the northwest corner of H. M. McGuire's Highland Park, Unit No. 2; thence south 22° 45¼′ west along the west line of H. M. McGuire's Highland Park, Unit No. 2, a distance of 2285.40 feet to the southwest corner of said Highland Park, Unit No. 2; thence south 67° 30½′ east along the southerly line of said H. M. McGuire's Highland Park, Unit No. 2, a distance of 417.97 feet to the westerly line of Swiss Street; thence south 22° 45¼′ west along the westerly line of Swiss Street, a distance of 25.00 feet to the southerly line of Short Street; thence south 67° 30½′ east along the southerly line of Short Street, a distance of 720.00 feet to the easterly line of Nye Street; thence north 22° 45¼′ east along the easterly line of Nye Street, a distance of 25.00 feet to the southerly line of H.     McGuire's Units 4, 5, 6, Hasley Cemetery and North to Tupar Bayou:

    Beginning at a point which is the intersection of the east right-of-way line of White's Ferry Road with the center line of Tupar (also called Tupawek) Bayou; thence westerly along the center line of said Tupar Bayou, a distance of 1260 feet, more or less, to an intersection with the production or extension of a boundary line of Hasley Cemetery that bears south 35° 08½′ west and lies 7.864 chains westerly and parallel to the most easterly line of Hasley Cemetery; thence south 35° 08½′ west along said production or extension, a distance of 998 feet, more or less, to a corner of Hasley Cemetery; thence following the meanderings of the westerly boundary of Hasley Cemetery along the following courses; south 35° 08½′ west, a distance of 12.655 chains; north 84° 05½′ west, a distance of 7.228 chains; south 31° 22½′ west, a distance of 6.595 chains; north 35° 16′ east, a distance of 3.87 chains; south 35° 16′ west, a distance of 3.87 chains; south 69° 30′ west, a distance of 3.60 chains; north 88° west, a distance of 15.864 chains to the northwest corner of Hasley Cemetery; thence south 2° west along the west line of Hasley Cemetery and its extension or production, a distance of 3.977 chains, more or less, to the south line of Arkansas Road; thence easterly along the south line of Arkansas Road, a distance of 2380.61 feet to the northwest corner of McGuire's Highland Park, Unit No. 2; thence continuing easterly along the south line of Arkansas Road, a distance of 1996.97 feet to a point which is the intersection of the south line of Arkansas Road with the east line of North Seventh (Victory) Street in the Travelers Rest Subdivision; thence northerly along the east right-of-way line of White's Ferry Road, a distance of 3566 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning.

    Beginning at the southwest corner of McGuire's Highland Park, Unit No. 2, which corner is also the most northerly corner of the Splane Place Subdivision in Sections 38, 38.96 feet to a corner of the Splane Place; thence south 73° 32′ west along the northerly line of Splane Place, a distance of 1105.02 feet to the northwest corner of Splane Place; thence south 16° 07.3′ east along the west line of Splane Place, a distance of 959.79 feet to a corner of the Splane Place; thence north 73° 44½′ east, a distance of 38.96 feet to a corner of the Splane Place; thence south 15° 59.7′ east along the west line of Splane Place, a distance of 918.88 feet to a corner of Splane Place, which corner is the southwest corner of Block 7 of Splane Place; thence easterly along the south line of said Block 7 and its production or extension easterly, a distance of 600 feet, more or less to an intersection with the extension northerly of the west line of Block 14 of Splane Place; thence southerly along the west line of said Block 14, which line is the west line of Splane Place, a distance of 1417.64 feet to the southwest corner of Splane Place, which corner lies on the line dividing Sections 40 and 43, Township 18 North, Range 3 East; thence easterly along the south line of Splane Place and along the line dividing said Sections 40 and 43, a distance of 1187.18 feet to the southeast corner of Splane Place; thence continuing easterly along the line dividing said Sections 40 and 43, a distance of 1400 feet, more or less, to the east line of North Seventh (Victory) Street; thence northerly along the east line of North Seventh (Victory) Street and its extension or production to the north line of Claiborne Road (U.     Beginning at the northwest corner of H. M. McGuire's Highland Park, Unit No. 2; thence westerly along the south line of Arkansas Road, a distance of 2460.51 feet to an intersection with the east line of Warren Drive; thence south 00° 19½′ west along the east line of Warren Drive, a distance of 2957 feet, more or less, to point of intersection of the east line of Warren Drive with the extension or production westerly of the line dividing Sections 37 and 38, Township 18 North, Range 3 east; thence north 73° 38¼′ east along said extension or production, a distance of 449 feet, more or less, to the corner common to Sections 28, 37 and 38, which corner is the northwest corner of the Splane Place; thence north 73° 38¼′ east along the line dividing said Sections 37 and 38 and along the north line of the Splane Place, a distance of 1105.02 feet to the southwest corner of H.
