§ 23-19. Board of directors; appointment, terms.

The tourist commission of the Parish of Ouachita shall be governed by a board of seven (7) directors to be appointed by the Police Jury of the Parish of Ouachita; appointments shall be made from lists of nominees submitted to the governing authority of the parish by the following nonprofit groups situated in the parish having an interest in tourism, to wit:The Ouachita Hotel-Motel Association, the Monroe Chamber of Commerce, the West Monroe Chamber of Commerce, and any other nonprofit corporation or group of persons or individuals located within the parish having an interest in the subject matter over which said commission has jurisdiction. The directors so appointed shall serve a term of three (3) years.
