§ 2-12. Same—Attachments to application; advertisement of new application.
(a)
Every application for a license to engage in the sale at retail or wholesale of alcoholic beverages shall be accompanied by the following, to-wit:
(1)
A duplicate original or certified copy of any lease of the premises to be licensed.
(b)
In order to carry out its duty to properly investigate all applicants for alcoholic beverage licenses, the police jury may require any applicant to submit to a fingerprint test in order that his background may be checked. Failure to submit to such a test on request of the police jury shall be grounds for the denial, suspension or revocation of any alcoholic beverage permit.
(c)
Each applicant for a license to conduct a new business shall give notice in the official journal of the parish that he is applying in the parish for a license to engage in the sale of alcoholic beverages in the parish, and shall attach to such application a certificate by the publisher of the official journal that such notice has been published for the period required by law.
(d)
Any misstatement, concealment or suppression of fact in any application or accompanying affidavit or document shall be sufficient ground for the denial, suspension or revocation of a license.
