§ 14-25. Special load limit.

The following load limit shall apply to those streets which are enumerated in subsection (b) below.

(a)

The total gross weight of any single axle attached to any vehicle and equipped with low-pressure pneumatic tires shall not exceed twenty thousand (20,000) pounds.

(b)

The maximum amount of axle weight set forth in subsection (a) applies to the following streets, to wit:

(1)

Austin Bend Road (King's Lake Road).

(2)

East Bawcom Street.

(c)

Violation of this section shall be a misdemeanor punishable by a term of imprisonment for not more than thirty (30) days in the parish jail, or a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00), or both.
