§ 3½-60. Warning and disclaimer of liability.

The degree of flood protection required by this article is considered reasonable for regulatory purposes and is based on engineering and scientific studies published by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Larger floods may occur or flood heights may be increased by man-made or natural causes. This article does not imply that areas outside the flood-prone area or land uses permitted within areas will be free from flooding or flood damage. This article shall not create liability on the part of the Ouachita Parish Police Jury or any officer or employee thereof for any flood damages that result from reliance on this article or any administrative decision lawfully made thereunder.
