§ 7-87. Frost Town Water System, Inc.

    The Police Jury of Ouachita Parish, Louisiana, does grant unto Frost Town Water System, Inc., a duly organized and constituted nonprofit corporation, doing business in the Parish of Ouachita, State of Louisiana, its successors or assigns hereinafter called "grantee", the right and authority to construct, maintain and operate within the said parish a water system to sell and service its customers, users and members. That this grant shall continue in existence so long as the corporation does exist for such purposes. The system shall be installed and operated in a workmanlike manner, and this parish shall be held harmless from any damages caused by the negligence of grantee's employees in the course of their employment.

    The grantee is granted full authority and right to utilize the public grants, rights-of-way, and easements of the State of Louisiana and of this parish for the purpose of constructing such water system or systems, the laying of pipe or pipelines and the maintaining of such system or systems. Grantee shall tunnel beneath paved streets, sidewalks and alley wherever practical in laying and replacing mains. Grantee shall refill its excavations and restore sidewalks and pavements promptly.

    (3)

    The said grantee may mortgage, pledge, or assign such rights as herein granted in order to secure a valid indebtedness of said grantee.
