§ 17-49. Chairman of committee; appointment.

The president of the Ouachita Parish police jury may designate a member of the Ouachita Parish police jury to serve as chairman of the Green Oaks Detention Home committee, which chairman shall preside at all meetings of the committee. Upon such designation of a member of the Ouachita Parish police jury as chairman, the president of the Ouachita Parish police jury shall cease to be a member of said committee. The members of the committee shall select a vice-chairman to serve in the absence of the chairman.
