§ 8-51. Citizens Alert Committee on Litter in District E.
(a)
Created. A citizens alert committee on litter in District E of Ouachita Parish be and hereby is established.
(b)
Membership. The committee shall consist of three (3) members to be appointed by the Ouachita Parish police jury.
(c)
Duties and responsibilities. The duties and responsibilities of the members of the Citizens Alert Committee on Litter in District E of Ouachita Parish shall be as follows, to wit:
(1)
Alert local law enforcement agencies as to specific instances of litter in District E of Ouachita Parish and to provide information sufficient to facilitate prosecution of same;
(2)
Formulate ideas and projects for the abatement of litter in District E of Ouachita Parish; and
(3)
Promote and establish a beautification program in District E of Ouachita Parish to be funded by fines to be collected for violations of section 8-41, et seq., of this chapter.
